Fox Creek Farm’s program is based on show hunters and hunt seat equitation. We have a small to medium size lesson program and show team, plus we always have a few nice horses and ponies for sale . Our regular clients mainly live in Maryland and Pennsylvania, but some live as far away as Florida and Ohio.
Laura Leroy started taking riding lessons at the age of 6, started showing at 8, and got her first pony, Dusty, at 9. When Laura’s family returned to Harford County in 1985 from Chicago, she began teaching and catch riding green ponies and horses for local trainers. At the age of 15, Laura began training with Jack Stedding, Sr. and Linda Andrisani of Monkton Manor Farm, and soon became their working student, a position she had through her last year of high school and into her first two years in the professional ranks. At the age of 19, Laura leased her first farm in Jarrettsville where her business officially became Fox Creek Farm. From 1997-2000 Laura worked for Richard and Jeannette Crouse, running their Vignon Manor Farm in Darlington. In late 2000, Laura leased a farm in Churchville, and reopened Fox Creek Farm. In March 2004, Laura had a wonderful opportunity to purchase a farm in Churchville that was and still is the perfect setup for Fox Creek Farm.
